iPhone Duo Reaches Apple Stores Worldwide, Crowds Gathered for Hands-On Demos

Apple’s first foldable iPhone reached Apple Store locations in its initial launch markets today, October 23, 2026. Customers gathered for hands-on demonstrations and in-store support.

Apple welcomed customers to its stores on Friday for the launch of the iPhone Duo, its first foldable smartphone. Store teams offered hands on demonstrations and personalized shopping assistance as customers explore the new device.

The company has also shared launch-day images from Apple Jing’an in Shanghai, showing customers celebrating the arrival of the foldable iPhone.

The iPhone Duo combines a foldable design with iOS 27, which adapts the interface for different screen positions and supports multitasking, gaming and content viewing. Apple began taking preorders on October 16, ahead of the global launch.

Limited Stock for Walk-In Customers

Apple has warned that stores will have limited iPhone Duo units available for customers who arrive without a preorder. Strong initial demand pushed delivery estimates for some online orders into January.

Availability also varies by market. Some countries allow limited walk-in purchases, while customers in markets including mainland China, India, Japan and the United Arab Emirates must reserve a device for pickup.

Customers can check availability through Apple’s website and the Apple Store app before visiting a store.

Apple Offers Setup and Shopping Support

Apple Specialists can help customers transfer data through Personal Setup and explore available purchase options. These include Apple Trade In, carrier offers and financing plans where available.

The company is also introducing Today at Apple sessions, including “Say Hello to iPhone Duo” and “Tips: What’s New in iOS 27 on iPhone.” These sessions aim to help customers learn about the new device and its software features.

Apple has not announced a single worldwide figure for launch-day retail stock, so availability depends on the store and market.

When Will the iPhone Duo Arrive in Pakistan?

Pakistan was not included in Apple’s first-wave launch list. The company has not confirmed a Pakistani release date or official price. Local buyers may therefore need to wait for imported units to reach retailers.

Apple’s first foldable iPhone starts at US$1,999 for the 256GB model in the United States.
