Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Launched: Lighter Design, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, AI Features and 120Hz Display

Samsung has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, introducing a redesigned foldable smartphone with a lighter body, improved usability, and powerful AI-driven features. The latest addition to Samsung’s premium foldable lineup aims to deliver a more comfortable experience while offering flagship-level performance.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 features a wider and slightly shorter design than its predecessor, making it easier to hold and use even when folded. Weighing just 201 grams, Samsung says it is the lightest Galaxy Z Fold smartphone released so far.

The smartphone comes with a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main foldable display and a 5.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover display, both supporting a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling, gaming, and video playback.

Powering the device is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. It is available with 12GB or 16GB RAM, while storage options include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, providing ample space for apps, photos, and videos.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is equipped with a 4,800mAh battery that supports both fast charging and wireless charging. The phone runs Android 17 with One UI 9 and includes several AI-powered features designed to improve productivity, multitasking, and the overall user experience.

For photography, the foldable smartphone offers a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP cover selfie camera, and a 10MP inner selfie camera for video calls and selfies.

Other key features include IP48 water and dust resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
