Jack Ma, the renowned co-founder of Alibaba, has made a significant arrival in Pakistan following his recent visit to Kathmandu, Nepal. On Thursday, Ma landed in Pakistan aboard a chartered aircraft provided by Hong Kong Business Aviation.
During his stay in Kathmandu, which commenced on a Tuesday afternoon, Ma chose the prestigious Dwarika Hotel as his accommodation. Exploring the vibrant city, he made sure to visit various notable locations such as Thamel, the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and the Kalimati vegetable market.
Surprising the public, Muhammad Azfar Ahsan, former state minister and chairman of the Board of Investment (BOI), shared on Twitter that Jack Ma is presently in Lahore for purely private reasons. Intriguingly, even the China Embassy remains uninformed regarding the specifics of Ma’s visit and activities in Pakistan.
Accompanying Ma on this excursion are seven individuals, including one American and five Chinese nationals, who have journeyed with him from China to Pakistan.
Notably, Jack Ma Yun, a prominent Chinese business magnate, financier, and philanthropist, co-founded the global technology conglomerate Alibaba Group. Furthermore, Ma played a significant role in the establishment of Yunfeng Capital, a Chinese private equity firm.
It is worth mentioning that Ma’s recent return to China comes after spending more than a year abroad, during which he notably vanished from the public eye. His reappearance has drawn considerable attention amid the ongoing crackdown on tech entrepreneurs in China.
