In a groundbreaking move, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has revolutionized the process of obtaining identity cards. The authority has extended its services to post offices, making it more convenient for citizens to access these essential services.
This initiative has been rolled out in 83 handpicked General Post Offices (GPOs) and post offices nationwide. These selected locations will offer services related to the reissuance, renewal, and modification of misplaced identity cards.
The service hours are designed to cater to the citizens’ convenience. From Monday to Saturday, the services will be operational from 9 am to 4 pm. However, on Fridays, the timings will be from 9 am to 12:30 pm, keeping in mind the local customs and traditions.
The pricing for these services remains consistent with those at NADRA centers, ensuring no additional financial burden on the citizens. However, it’s important to note that the NICOP creation service will not be available at these post offices.
For further details and to locate their nearest service point, citizens are encouraged to visit the official NADRA website. This initiative marks a significant step towards making essential services more accessible to the citizens of Pakistan.
