King Salman Iftar Program Kicks Off at Islamabad’s Shah Faisal Mosque

In a display of solidarity and brotherhood, the Saudi Embassy in Pakistan has kick-started the “King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud’s Iftar Programme” at the iconic Faisal Mosque in Islamabad. This initiative, part of the holy month of Ramazan, was graced by the presence of Saudi embassy officials, directors of Saudi offices, and Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, the President of the International Islamic University, along with other university officials.

The embassy’s inaugural Iftar in Islamabad starts a series of nationwide events. This reflects the tradition of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs. The ministry, via the religious attaché, hosts global Iftar events during Ramazan to promote unity.

The residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, often referred to as the twin cities, expressed their appreciation for the meticulously arranged Iftar at Faisal Mosque. They extended their gratitude to the Saudi government for its gesture of goodwill and fraternity towards the people of Pakistan.

The event concluded with the officials of the Saudi Embassy and the attendees offering the maghrib prayer at the Faisal Mosque, further strengthening the bond between the two nations.
