Lahore Road Close till 3 PM, Traffic Plan Announced

Lahore, Pakistan – The city of Lahore is gearing up for a high-profile visit by Iranian President Dr. Syed Ibrahim Raisi, with a comprehensive traffic plan, road closures, and local holiday announced to ensure a smooth and secure visit.

As part of the preparations, the Lahore Ring Road will be closed from 6 am to 3 pm on April 23, 2024, to facilitate the president’s convoy. Alternative routes have been recommended to avoid inconvenience to citizens, and traffic heading to Lahore will be diverted from Kala Shah Kaku to the motorway until the Iranian president arrives in the city.

The Punjab government has also announced a local holiday in Lahore on April 23, 2024, to coincide with the visit. All schools, educational institutions, and government offices will remain closed, while offices of the Punjab Secretariat will remain open.

The Iranian President’s visit is part of a three-day official visit to Pakistan, and the government has taken extensive measures to ensure his safety and security. The traffic plan and road closures are designed to minimize disruptions and ensure a smooth passage for the president’s convoy.

Citizens have been advised to plan ahead and use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience. The government has also requested citizens to cooperate with the security measures in place to ensure the success of the visit.
