The CEO of the Aga Khan Foundation Cultural Services Pakistan (AKCSP), Khawaja Tauseef Ahmad, visited Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Ch. Pervaiz Elahi at the CM Office.
During the meeting, the important choice to develop Lahore as a smart city in collaborative efforts with the AKCSP was made.
In this case, the CM also requested a project plan. According to him, Lahore will have the distinction of being Pakistan’s first smart city.
He went on to say that with the support of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), the city of Lahore will digitalized and urban amenities will delivered through a mobile app.
In addition, Baba Bulleh Shah’s tomb in Kasur will renovate to match the architectural style of the Wazir Khan Mosque.

To combat smog, a zero-tolerance policy will implement: On Wednesday, Punjab Forest Minister Syed Abbas Ali Shah emphasized the importance of supporting the government’s efforts to eliminate smog, and that everyone must accept responsibility for preventing the causes of smog.
In a media statement, he stated that those responsible for forest smog should strictly monitored. He stated that in the event of an environmental emergency, all chief conservators should involve in smog control. To combat smog, the Forest Minister suggested a zero-tolerance policy.
He deployed the officers in the field to increase anti-smog efforts. He stated that the need for and importance of forests had increased due to the environmental emergency. “We must eliminate smog by ensuring the province’s implementation of an environmental emergency,” he added.
