The seismic activity, experienced at approximately 5:30 AM, not limited to the twin cities alone. Adjoining areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir also felt the earth beneath their feet, heightening the sense of urgency in the early hours.
According to the monitoring center, the earthquake’s epicenter lay in the South-West of Kashmir, with a depth of around 16 km. While the earth shook, residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi emerged from their homes in fear, anticipating the worst.
