New Islamic Year 1442 AH
The new Islamic year 1442 AH now began as the Muharram moon 2020 in Pakistan is sighted. However, Youm-e-Ashura date in Pakistan or 10th Muharram date in Pakistan is August 30.
The Central Ruet e Hilal Committee made an announcement about the Muharram moon sighting 2020. Mufti Munib ur Rehman chaired the meeting. The 1st Muharram date in Pakistan is August 21.
As per the Hijri calendar 1442 AH, the Ashura holidays in Pakistan will be on August 29 and 30 (Saturday and Sunday).
