Pakistan promotes religious tourism by introducing Guru Nanak Expressway, a special motorway that links Sialkot to Kartarpur. The NHA was ordered by Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan to begin construction, which would bring luxury hotels and international marketing. This will be an international road channel that will revolutionize the journey of pilgrims as well as initiating an economic boom in the neighboring Punjab districts.
The National Highway Authority (NHA) orders to build the Sialkot–Kartarpur Motorway. This project, named the Guru Nanak Expressway, creates a direct road travel route for thousands of visitors.
The government has strategized to develop three, four, and five star hotels along the Kartarpur Highway. These will be accommodations to international tourists and locals who visit pilgrims. The expressway will be lined with new shopping malls and contemporary rest areas. This system promises high quality adventure to the international Sikh community.
The NHA will launch marketing campaigns in London, Canada, and the United States. International road shows will invite foreign investment into these highway projects. This strategy aims to bring global capital into Pakistan’s growing tourism sector.
Beyond tourism, the motorway serves as an economic lifeline for local residents. People in Narang Mandi and Budhu Malhi will see immediate benefits from this modern facility. Shorter travel times and better connectivity will boost trade. The Guru Nanak Expressway represents a new era of development for these adjacent cities.
