Umrah Visa Updates – In preparation for the upcoming Hajj 2024 season, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced important updates regarding Umrah visas. The Saudi Gazette reported that the visa validity period has been adjusted from Dhul Qadah 29 to Dhul Qadah 15, aligning with the government’s efforts to facilitate pilgrimages smoothly.
The new guidelines require Umrah pilgrims to depart the country before Dhul Qadah 15. This change, approved two weeks earlier than the previous expiration date, aims to streamline the pilgrimage process for visitors to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
One notable adjustment is that the three-month validity of Umrah visas now begins from the date of issuance, rather than the date of entry into Saudi Arabia. This modification is part of the Ministry’s coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to enhance the overall pilgrimage experience.
These updates are crucial as Saudi Arabia gears up to welcome pilgrims from around the world for the annual Hajj pilgrimage, demonstrating the country’s commitment to ensuring a seamless and organized journey for all participants.
Stay tuned for further updates as the Hajj 2024 season approaches.
