UAE Astronaut Al Neyadi’s Space Photos of Pakistan and India

Sultan Al Neyadi, the UAE’s celebrated astronaut, has been making waves with his breathtaking photography from the International Space Station (ISS). While primarily focusing on Arab countries during his mission, Al Neyadi took a momentary break to capture mesmerizing images of Pakistan and India, two South Asian nations.

On 10th May, Al Neyadi treated the world to a magnificent photograph of Lahore, Pakistan, often referred to as the “City of Gardens.” Just five days later, he once again worked his magic, capturing a stunning image of Lucknow, located in northern India.

Having embarked on his long-duration space mission on 3rd March, Al Neyadi made history as the first Arab astronaut to undertake such a challenging endeavor. In a groundbreaking achievement, he also became the first Arab astronaut to step outside the confines of the space station for a spacewalk, where he spent an impressive seven hours conducting maintenance tasks in the vastness of space. Adding to the excitement, Al Neyadi celebrated his 42nd birthday aboard the ISS, with his fellow astronauts surprising him with a cake.

The officials at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre in Dubai recently expressed their admiration and congratulations to Al Neyadi on successfully completing half of his six-month mission. They commended his unwavering dedication to scientific pursuits and highlighted the remarkable strides he has made during this period.

Al Neyadi’s endeavor to capture a photo of Pakistan from the depths of space holds special significance, as it is an immense honor for the Pakistani expatriate community residing in the UAE. The photo serves as a symbol of unity and friendship between the two nations.
