WhatsApp has finally rolled out the long-awaited feature that allows users to mark their favorite chats and groups. This new addition, announced earlier by the Meta-owned messaging app, is now available to a wider audience through the latest iOS update (version 24.16.79). According to WABetaInfo, the update confirms the official release of the feature, making it easier for users to access their most important contacts and groups.
Users can now add their favorite contacts and groups to the top of the calls tab and filter their chat list to see these favorites first.
How to Enable WhatsApp’s Favourite Chats Groups Feature?
To set this up, users must open WhatsApp, go to settings, and select the favorites section. From there, they can add, rearrange, or remove contacts and groups from their favorites list. This feature is designed to provide quicker access to frequently used contacts, enhancing the overall user experience.
Alongside this, WhatsApp has also introduced a new calling interface with updated controls, making it more user-friendly and reliable. If these features haven’t appeared in your app yet, they are expected to roll out to all users in the coming weeks.
