Major Drop in Gold and Silver Prices; Gold Down by Rs5,600 Per Tola

Significant drops in the prices of gold and silver were recorded again today in both global and local bullion markets

According to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, a substantial decline in gold and silver prices has been recorded in the country, based on the interbank exchange rate.

The price of 24-karat gold per tola has dropped by Rs5,600 to stand at Rs456,736.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold has decreased by Rs4,801 to Rs391,577, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold has fallen by Rs4,401 to Rs358,958.

In the international market, the price of gold per ounce has also dropped by $56, settling at $4,342.

Silver Prices

The price of 24-karat silver per tola has decreased by Rs253 to Rs6,871, while the price of 10 grams of silver has fallen by Rs217 to Rs5,890.

In the global market, the price of silver per ounce has dropped by $2.53 to $63.92.
