Sindh Government Girls’ School Ranked Among World’s Top 10 for Community Collaboration Award

A government girls’ school in Hyderabad, Sindh achieved international recognition after being named among the world’s Top 10 schools in the Community Collaboration category of the World’s Best School Prizes 2026.

Government Girls Lower Secondary School Tando Mir Ghulam Hussain has recognized for its excellence in education and innovative teaching methods by T4 Education, a global organization dedicated to recognizing and celebrating outstanding schools and innovative educators. It is a commendation that puts the Sindh government school among the handful of schools picked from the thousands of public and private schools worldwide.

The World’s Best School Prizes honor excellence in five categories: Community Collaboration, Environmental Action, Innovation, Overcoming Adversity, and Supporting Healthy Lives. An international panel judged applications and determined the top 10 schools in each category.

The school in Hyderabad gained recognition through its effective collaboration with students, parents, and the community. It has successfully designed awareness campaigns, invited community involvement in its educational initiatives and launched innovative STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) learning projects. These efforts have contributed to more meaningful learning in the classroom and to students’ academic and personal growth.

The school has cited as one of the only two schools in Pakistan to have made the cut for the 2026 awards, alongside a private school in Punjab. This choice offers a chance to exhibit Pakistan’s public education system to the world and could be the motivation for other government schools to implement community-driven models.

Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh, and Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah congratulated the school for this incredible accomplishment, commenting on the school’s achievements and the dedication and hard work of its students, teachers, parents, and community. They have said that the recognition is a proud moment for Sindh and Pakistan as public schools have a great opportunity to have international success in days to come by innovation, teamwork, and community involvement.

The school has added to the Top 10 shortlist and the overall final winner in the Community Collaboration category will decided at the judging process and announced by T4 Education. Moreover, it is also eligible for the Community Choice Award, which will decided through a public vote.
