Global Hunt for Best Quran Reciters Begins with Dubai Holy Quran Award 2026

The Dubai International Holy Quran Award 2026 has officially been announced, marking the start of a new global search for the world’s best Quran reciters and Huffaz. The prestigious award, regarded as one of the United Arab Emirates’ oldest religious and cultural initiatives, aims to recognize outstanding talent in Quran recitation and memorization.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, confirmed the launch of the new edition in a post on the social media platform X.

Sheikh Mohammed stated that the Dubai International Holy Quran Award aims to identify the most beautiful voices that recite the Holy Quran from all over the world, promote excellence in recitation of the Holy Quran and recognize the superior Qaris and Huffaz during the holy month of Ramadhan.

He said the Holy Quran is a source of light, guidance and mercy, noting that Dubai has been a proud follower of recognising distinguished Quran reciters and memorisers for the last 29 years.

The Dubai ruler also reaffirmed his commitment to continuing this important religious initiative and prayed for Allah’s acceptance of the efforts made to serve the Holy Quran.

The Dubai International Holy Quran Award is considered one of the UAE’s most prominent religious and cultural events. It helps to promote the teachings of the Holy Quran, promotes the memorization of the Holy Quran, recognizes excellence in Tajweed and Quran recitation, and brings together talented participants from all around the world.

Winners of the annual international competition will be honored during a special ceremony at the end of Ramadan with participation from renowned Quran reciters, scholars and guests from various countries, as part of the annual tradition.
