Hajj 2027 Registration to Begin in August, New Payment System Announced

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has finalised the procedure for Hajj 2027 applications and payment of Hajj dues under the government scheme, with registration expected to begin in the third week of August.

The ministry sources said that the expenses for Hajj 2027 will be collected in two portions. The first half of the total Hajj expenses will be deposited by intending pilgrims and the balance will be paid in the second instalment.

Hajj 2027 Payments Through Digital Channels

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has launched an online payment mechanism for the payment process to facilitate Hajj 2027. Payment options for pilgrims will include 1LINK, Payment Slip Identification (PSID), credit cards and online challans.

The new system will also prove to be advantageous for the overseas Pakistanis. They will be able to apply for Hajj and pay the necessary fees through digital means, without having to visit a bank office.

Single Bank System for Hajj 2027

The new deal will involve applying and paying for Hajj via a designated private bank. The system will supersede the existing one where several banks required to collect Hajj dues.

The relocation is to improve the process of registering and paying for Hajj 2027 for intending pilgrims, making it easier, safer and quicker.

For those opting for the private Hajj scheme, digital payment alternatives such as 1LINK, PSID and even credit cards will be available too.

Who Can Apply for Hajj 2027?

The government Hajj scheme will only accept applications and payment of dues from pilgrims who have already fulfilled the necessary registration procedures for Hajj.

The ministry set to release the final Hajj 2027 application schedule and guidelines prior to the formal launch of the application process.

According to previous reports, Pakistan has set a quota of 179,210 pilgrims for Hajj 2027, split between the government’s and private Hajj schemes. However, certain figures reported for the scheme-wise quota which do not match with the overall quota and need official clarifications.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has urged prospective pilgrims to adhere to official announcements and avail themselves of the official means of Hajj registration and payments for the upcoming 2027 pilgrimage. The pilgrims must be careful of fraudulent advertisements, fake payment requests and unauthorised Hajj agents.
