Hajj 2027 Applications to Be Processed Through HBL as Pakistan Introduces Single Bank System for Pilgrims

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has decided to introduce a single bank system for Hajj 2027 applications and payments, with Habib Bank Limited (HBL) selected to manage the complete process.

As per report, the government Hajj and private Hajj applicants will have to apply for Hajj 2027 with HBL and pay Hajj fees through HBL only. The new system will supersede the earlier one in which 16 banks were given permission to receive Hajj applications.

Hajj 2027 Application Process Through HBL

In the new arrangement, pilgrims are able to apply for Hajj 2027 via an online platform or a local branch of HBL. The payment of Hajj expenses will also processed through HBL.

The choice of HBL was based on its extensive branch network, digital banking capabilities and efficient processing of large-scale transactions, officials said.

Further details on the application process will made available after the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Habib Bank Limited draw up an official agreement, in the upcoming days.

Hajj 2027 Government Scheme Applications Expected Soon

The government anticipated to start accepting applications for the Government Scheme of Hajj 2027 from the end of this week. The official application schedule, deadlines and payment information will advertised separately by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The new single bank system expected to streamline the procedure of applying for Hajj in Pakistan, enhance transparency and offer improved digital facilities to pilgrims.

Pakistan Hajj Quota 2027

Pakistan has received a total Hajj quota of 179,210 pilgrims for 2027.

According to the approved quota distribution:

• 107,832 pilgrims will perform Hajj under the government scheme.
• 71,888 pilgrims will travel through the private Hajj scheme.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs expected to issue more updates regarding Hajj 2027 registration, application dates, payment schedule, and eligibility criteria in the coming days.
