Hajj Khutba to Be Broadcast in Urdu, Punjabi, Pashto and 35 Global Languages

The Saudi government has announced a major initiative for Hajj 2026, confirming that the Hajj Khutba Live broadcast will be translated into 35 major international languages, including Urdu, Punjabi, and Pashto, to help millions of Muslims worldwide understand the sacred sermon in their native languages.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said the decision is to expand the global reach of the annual Hajj Khutba translation service, and make the spiritual message of Hajj available to pilgrims and viewers of all languages.

The live translations will feature popular international languages including English, French, Turkish, Indonesian, Persian, Russian, Chinese and more. The ministry said it will use modern digital platforms and advanced broadcasting technology to make sure that the sermon is broadcasted in real time to audiences around the world.

The Urdu, Punjabi, and Pashto translations of the Hajj sermon are being welcomed as a positive development for the understanding of pilgrims from Pakistan and viewers watching from overseas.

The move is part of the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to provide services for pilgrims and enhance interaction with Muslims around the world during the annual pilgrimage season, Saudi authorities said.

The Hajj Khutba Live broadcast is expected to attract millions of viewers online and through television networks, allowing Muslims unable to attend Hajj in person to still benefit from the powerful spiritual and religious message delivered from the holy sites.

Religious scholars have welcomed the expansion of the Hajj Khutba translation program, stating that the translation of the Khutba in multiple languages would help in disseminating the universal message of Islam, unity, peace and guidance to more people.

The annual Hajj sermon is considered one of the most important religious addresses in the Islamic world and is listened to by Muslims across different countries every year.
