Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and several areas in Balochistan are celebrating Eid ul Fitr today. Various mosques and sermons were conducted in open spaces for the Eid special prayers with a huge gathering, following the decision of the moon sighting.
The northern district of Baluchistan will be observing Eid on Tuesday (today).Other than Pishin, Qila Saifullah, Zhob, Qilla Abdullah, and Chaman are celebrating Eid today. Moreover, the Hazara division will observe Eid on Tuesday like other provinces.
The announcement made by the Chief Minister Mahmood Khans Special Assistant Barrister Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif regarding Eid ul Fitr to be celebrated in KP from Monday was made official.
Saif wished Muslims a gracious Eid. He further advised sharing happiness with unprivileged people as it is the message of Islam. He urged Muslims to help those who are in need as an obligation of Muslims brotherhood.
Conversely, the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee asked government them to review their decision. Except for KP and Baluchistan, the other province will be celebrating Eid on Tuesday, May 3 (tomorrow).
