Ramadan 2020: Moon not sighted in middle East, 1st Ramadan on Friday

The holy month of Ramadan 2020 in the Middle East will commence from April 24 as the moon was not sighted on 22 April. Ramadan moon sighting meeting in Saudi Arabia will take place today.

The Supreme Court in the country has urged all Muslims in Saudi Arabia to observe the moon of Ramadan on the evening of Shaban 30, 1441 Hijri. The First Roza of Ramadan 2020 in Saudi Arabia is on Friday, April 24.

In Middle Eastern countries, Egypt, Tunisia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait crescent not seen on 22 April.

Meeting regarding Ramadan moon sighting in Saudi Arabia will be held tomorrow. The hilal sighting committee, along with civilians, has been asked to look for the Ramadan moon in Saudi Arabia.

The moon sighted in Saudi Arabia is imperative that the crescent will be spotted at the UAE, Oman, Yemen, Qatar, and other parts of the gulf. Expert claims, The crescent would also be visible in most parts of Africa, West Asia, Europe, and the west.

In the eastern part of the world, including Pakistan, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia, attempts will be made to sight the crescent on Thursday (April 23). The month of Ramadan in those regions also will begin from Friday.
