Saudi Arabia Introduces New Entry Rules and Timings for Women Visiting Hijr Ismail (Hateem)

Saudi Arabia has announced new entry procedures for women visiting Hijr Ismail (Hateem) at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, introducing designated visiting hours and an organized entry system to improve crowd management and enhance the worship experience for pilgrims.

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques stated that women will allowed to enter Hijr Ismail everyday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Visitors will enter only from Gates 75, 76 and 77 and will first wait in an assembly area before being taken in to the building in groups.

The new setup designed to make the process of movement within the Grand Mosque smoother, ease the congestion around the sacred site and make the worshippers’ experience safer and more comfortable. The waiting area will supervised by the staff of the Mosque and the entry of groups will controlled during the peak visiting hours to ensure good order.

The half circle that beside the Holy Kaaba called Hijr Ismail or Hateem, it said to be part of the original foundation of the Kaaba. It one of the most spiritual places in Masjid al-Haram where various pious acts performed during Umrah and Hajj.

The authority has asked pilgrims to follow instructions from the mosque leadership, arrive at the designated time for entry in the mosque and obey the crowd control measures in an effort to ensure a peaceful and orderly visit. The same system is still in place for the late evening hours for men to enter.
