60 Flights Cancelled Across Pakistan as Major Airports Face Severe Disruptions

A significant disruption in air travel has been reported across Pakistan as 60 flights were cancelled nationwide, while 14 flights faced unusual delays, affecting both domestic and international routes.
The latest flight schedule updates state that several major airports such as Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Multan, Sialkot, and Faisalabad have been affected.
Karachi Flights Hit the Hardest
A total of 24 flights were cancelled from Karachi including the following key Middle East routes:
- Jeddah
- Doha
- Dubai
- Sharjah
- Madinah
- Najaf
- Abu Dhabi
These cancellations have created a lot of hassles for passengers, especially those who are travelling for religious purposes, business and labor.
Lahore Flight Cancellations
Lahore airport also suffered heavy disruption, with 19 flights cancelled, including to:
- Dammam
- Dubai
- Jeddah
- Kuwait
Islamabad Operations Affected
From Islamabad, 6 flights were cancelled, covering routes to:
- Jeddah
- Riyadh
- Tehran
- Dubai
Other Cities Also Impacted
Smaller airports were also affected by cancellations:
- Sialkot: 2 flights cancelled
- Multan: 3 flights cancelled
- Peshawar: 4 flights cancelled
- Faisalabad: 2 flights cancelled
Flight Delays Reported
In addition to cancellations, several flights are facing delays:
- Jeddah to Karachi flight PK-862 delayed by 4.5 hours
- Karachi–Lahore flights PK-302 and PK-303 delayed by 4 hours each
Impact on Passengers
These sudden cancellations and delays have left travelers in disarray, particularly on their way through the Gulf states. Airlines are expected to issue revised timetables and help passengers make other arrangements.
