Applying for CNIC Online? NADRA’s New Pak ID Update Changes Everything

The NADRA Pak ID App update has brought a major improvement for citizens applying for a Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) online. The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has officially released Pak ID Mobile App version 5.6.6, introducing a new feature that allows users to preview their identity card before submitting an application.

The newly introduced ‘View Card’ feature will allow applicants to preview what their CNIC will look like before they fill the application process, according to NADRA. This allows the user to preview all personal information, and catch any mistakes early on.

This update allows applicants to confirm details like their name, date of birth, address and so on, before final submission. In case of any error, they can go back to the appropriate section of the application and correct it, which will minimize the risk of such errors to the final CNIC.

The new update of NADRA Pak ID App will be more accurate and user-friendly for the online CNIC application process and will also benefit the applicants in avoiding the trouble of making corrections after issuing their cards.

At the same time, in a separate development, it was revealed that the services provided by Pak ID through the platform were also expanded in KP. The app now allows citizens to register births, deaths, marriages, divorces. In the initial stage, the facility is being made available at all Village and Neighborhood Councils in Peshawar district and will be gradually rolled out province-wide.

The launch of CNIC preview and digital civil registration services are the latest in NADRA’s attempts to make public services more convenient and easier to access online for citizens.
