Coronavirus cases rise to 2,708 in Pakistan, death toll hits 40

COVID-19 confirmed cases in Pakistan rose to 2,708, after new cases reported in the country.

Coronavirus cases- The national dashboard, operated by the Federal Ministry of Health, informed the death toll has risen to 40. The number of critical patients reached 13. While the recovery of 130 patients is also recorded.

COVID-19 total count till now includes 1,072 patients in Punjab, in Sindh 839, 343 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) 193, 175 in Balochistan, 75 in Islamabad, 11 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

According to the sources, 258 new cases are recorded in the last 24 hours in Pakistan.

Following the orders of Prime Minister Imran Khan, by establishing a National Command and Control Center, the country has taken an important step to further monitor the progress of the coronavirus.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases worldwide has exceeded one million. The death toll reaches 50,000 as the United States has so far reported the highest number of daily deaths toll in any country.

Europe has been considered the focus of this crisis for weeks, but there are indications that the epidemic is reaching its peak.

According to a John Hopkins University study, nearly 6,000 people have died in the US outbreak, with more than 1,100 of them died in the past 24 hours.
