RAWALPINDI: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that Pakistan inflicted a complete defeat on a several times bigger enemy in multi-domain operations during Marka-e-Haq.
The remarks were delivered by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry during a press briefing, accompanied by Rear Admiral Shifaat Ali Khan and Air Vice Marshal Tariq Ghazi.
Referring to events of May 6–7 last year, the ISPR said India made baseless allegations against Pakistan following an incident in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and subsequently launched an attack. Pakistan responded forcefully, resulting in a prolonged military confrontation lasting more than 80 hours. The conflict ended on May 10 after diplomatic intervention, including efforts by the United States.
Lt Gen Chaudhry said the country’s armed forces had risen to public expectations and had defeated what he described as a much larger enemy through multi-domain operations.
During the press conference, the military spokesperson also said, Anyone who thinks there is space for war between two nuclear-armed neighbours is crazy.
