Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood has suggested that winter vacations should be from December 25 to January 4.
However, a final decision will be taken at National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) meeting on Wednesday (today).
In a Tweet on Tuesday, he had said, �Federal and provincial secretaries met today. The agreed proposal was that the winter holidays should be from Dec 25 to Jan 4.”
Mehmood further said notifications will be issued from the concerned governments.
Earlier, a meeting of all the education ministers discussed the proposal regarding rescheduling winter vacations.
�Decisions related to the winter break were taken after consulting all the provincial ministers,� the education ministry spokesperson said.
PPP led Sindh government had already announced winter holidays in educational institutions from December 20 to January 1.
The academic activities in the province were set to be resumed on January 3.
