Ex-Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa Admitted in ICU After Head Injury

Former Chief of Army Staff General (Retd.) Qamar Javed Bajwa is currently receiving medical treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Rawalpindi. The retired general sustained injuries after a slip and fall at his residence early Tuesday morning. Family sources confirm the incident occurred around 4:30 am in the washroom.
General Bajwa Head Injury: Latest Health Update
General Bajwa was severely injured with a serious wound to the head. After the accident, his emergency team brought him to the CMH ICU so that he could be closely monitored. It is reported that the injury to the head has resulted in temporary loss of consciousness, and the former chief has regained his consciousness.
The official confirmation of the news was made by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) who said that Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa is under the supervision of a group of expert medical attention. Although they still cannot publish a formal medical bulletin, his brother-in-law, Naeem Ghumman, provided in the update, in a video, that the general is now 100% out of danger and stable.
Bajwa was the 10th Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistan Army and served in that capacity between 2016 and 2022. His ten-year tenure saw him extend himself on a high profile in 2019. General Bajwa has a private life since he retired in November 2022, and this health update has become a hot topic in Pakistan.
