Fatima Bhutto, the granddaughter of former prime minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, gets married in Karachi.
The Bhutto family is one of the most prominent and influential political dynasties in Pakistan, and the wedding has drawn considerable attention from the media and the public alike.
Fatima shared a series of photos from her wedding day, captioning them with these words,
“Yesterday, Graham and I married in a small nikkah ceremony in my family home, 70 Clifton. My brother Zulfikar tied our grandmother’s imam zamin on me and the ceremony was conducted in my grandfather’s libraries, one of my most beloved places on earth.”
“Behind us were my aunts, uncle, and father’s childhood photos and an original People’s Party flag placed by my grandfather himself. We won’t be having any other ceremonies, I’m not one for opulent weddings but especially now it feels so inappropriate given what so many are struggling through.”
Fatima expressed that Although she missed her beloved father tremendously. Furthermore, she felt his presence in my heart and amongst us, as everyone presents held so much love for Papa. I kindly request that you keep us in your prayers and express my gratitude for all your kind wishes.
Fatima opted for an elegant white anarkali featuring intricate silver accents on her dupatta. Complementing her attire, she adorned herself with a silver maang-teeka. Accompanied by matching earrings and a set of red and white bangles Fatima looked like a dream. In a photograph shared by her brother, the esteemed author exuded grace. She was wearing a stunning red orhni adorned with exquisite gold embellishments. Notably, her husband sported a coordinated ensemble, comprising a kurta and pajama in harmonizing hues.
Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Jr. urged everyone to keep the couple in their prayers. According to reports, the event was a private affair, with attendance limited to close friends and family members.
