Tensions have escalated between Pakistan and India after the Pakistan Army confirmed Indian drone attacks on multiple cities across the country. According to the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the Indian military launched drone strikes during the night of May 7 and 8.
DG ISPR strongly condemned the aggression, labeling it a serious attack on Pakistan’s sovereignty and assured that such provocations would receive a firm and appropriate response. “If Pakistan strikes, the world will witness it,” he warned, making it clear that any further escalation by India will not go unanswered.
Heavy Damage Inflicted on Indian Forces at LoC
General Ahmed Sharif revealed that Indian forces suffered heavy losses at multiple locations along the Line of Control (LoC). Pakistan’s military successfully downed several drones, with their debris currently being collected as evidence.
He emphasized that the Indian military’s actions are already being monitored by the international community. “The world is watching India’s aggressive behavior,” he said, highlighting growing concern over India’s repeated violations of international norms.
Pakistan’s Military Responds to Earlier Aggression
This development comes shortly after a major retaliation by Pakistan’s armed forces on May 7, in which five Indian fighter jets, a combat drone, and multiple Indian military posts were destroyed. Reports indicate that a brigade headquarters was also targeted, in what Pakistan described as a “calculated and necessary response.”
Indian missile attacks on Kotli, Muzaffarabad, Ahmadpur East, Bagh, and Muridke were met with decisive counterstrikes, demonstrating Pakistan’s military preparedness and capability.
DG ISPR: India’s Cowardly Acts Will Not Go Unpunished
Calling the Indian drone attacks a series of “cowardly actions,” DG ISPR made it clear that India’s violations will not go unpunished. He reiterated the commitment of Pakistan’s armed forces to defend every inch of the country with full force and determination.
Panic Grips Indian Media
Following Pakistan’s stern warning and military readiness, Indian media outlets have shown signs of panic, speculating on possible outcomes and raising concerns over the growing conflict.
