Iran Ziarat Visa Requirements and Updated Policy for Pakistan: Check Here!

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has announced the visa policy for Pakistani pilgrims traveling during Muharram and Safar. From 1st Muharram (July 8, 2024) to 15th Safar (August 20, 2024), Pakistani visitors with an Iraqi visa can apply for a double-entry visa.

These double-entry visas will be issued for free under the Iraqi government’s “Special Arbaeen Visa” program. Other visa applications for Pakistani citizens will continue as usual. Pakistani pilgrims planning to travel by land must use their own bus transport to enter Iran and Iraq. Group leaders must provide transport details, Carnet De Passages, international driver’s licenses, and a complete list of passengers. The vehicle’s plate number will be noted on the visas, and border crossings will be monitored by matching the list of pilgrims with the license plate numbers.

Pakistani pilgrims must enter Iraq through the Chazabeh border until the 15th Safar (August 20, 2024). Travel from other borders will not be allowed. This new policy aims to facilitate the smooth travel of Pakistani pilgrims during the holy months of Muharram and Safar.
