Pakistanis Barred from Travelling Internationally Without NADRA Vaccination Certificate

Pakistan has made NADRA-integrated vaccination proof mandatory for international travel from September 14. The requirement covers Umrah pilgrims and includes specific vaccinations.

The Airport Health Department has introduced the new requirement for passengers travelling abroad. Airlines must check the vaccination proof before boarding.

The requirement initially applies to Umrah passengers departing from Karachi. Authorities plan to extend similar restrictions to other major airports.

The Federal Government Civil Dispensary has been designated as the authorized vaccination center for international travelers. Airport vaccination and registration facilities will also be available.

Passengers who need vaccination at the airport must arrive at least six hours before their flight. The process will take place in the international departure area.

Vaccinations Required for International Travel

The new arrangements cover:

• Polio
• Meningitis
• Yellow fever
• Influenza vaccinations

Passengers must obtain the required vaccination record through an authorized center.

PIA has also advised international passengers to obtain NADRA-integrated vaccination proof before departure. Airlines must verify the certificate before allowing passengers to board.

Umrah pilgrims have been specifically told to obtain a digital vaccination card linked with NADRA.

The Ministry of National Health Services has previously operated the NIMS system for digital vaccination certificates. The system supports international vaccination records, including polio and yellow fever certificates.

Passengers should complete the vaccination process before reaching the airport where possible. Those using the airport facility should allow extra time for vaccination and registration.
