Ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally, authorities have implemented extensive security measures across Islamabad, temporarily closing 29 key locations. The road closures aim to manage traffic flow and ensure public safety during the political event, which has drawn significant attention.
Major thoroughfares affected include New Margalla Road, Zero Point, Faisal Chowk, and several crucial routes such as the Expressway, Marriott Hotel Chowk, Nadra Chowk, and Express Chowk.
Additional areas facing restrictions include Secretariat Chowk, Fata House, Tirami Chowk, Shahpur, and Bani Gala Road. Important intersections such as Faizabad, Ninth Avenue, Golla Mor, Motorway Toll Plaza, and Tarnool Gate have also been closed.
These closures are expected to stay in place throughout the rally, taking place in Sangjani, Islamabad. Citizens have been urged to use alternate routes to minimize travel disruptions.
