Security Guard Shoots 10-Year-Old Flower-Selling Child in Karachi’s Defence Area

KARACHI: In Karachi’s Defence area, a 10-year-old flower-selling child was injured after being shot by a security guard at Zulfiqar Commercial.

According to the police, the injured child has been shifted to the hospital. The security guard reportedly opened fire after a heated argument, which resulted in the child being hit.

Later, the suspect was handed over to the police after being beaten by people at the scene.

In a separate incident in New Karachi Industrial Area, police reported an encounter in which five robbers were killed.

Police also stated that the arrested security guard has been transferred to the police station along with his weapon. The guard claimed that the child used to bother him regularly.

According to police, the security guard said he had fired the shot into the ground, but the bullet ricocheted and hit the child.

In a separate development, police also confirmed an encounter in New Karachi Industrial Area where five suspected robbers were killed during an exchange of fire. Investigations into both incidents are currently underway.
