ICC Bans USA Cricketer Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy for 8 Years Over Anti-Corruption Code Breaches

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has imposed an eight-year ban on USA cricketer Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy after finding him guilty of multiple violations of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code linked to the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10 League.

An official ICC statement said that Reddy had violated three distinct parts of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code. This has led him to barred from all ICC and member boards organised cricket.

The governing body confirmed that the disciplinary action is the result of incidents that occurred during the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2025. The player found guilty of a number of anti-corruption violations after an investigation, and handed one of the strictest punishment in recent years.

The ICC said the suspension will be effective from Nov. 21, 2025. Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy will face a ban from representing India in all international and domestic cricket matches, tournament and official cricket related events organised by the ICC and its member cricket boards during the ban period.

The ICC affirmed its purpose of safeguarding integrity through a robust implementation of its Anti-Corruption Code. The governing body has adopted a zero tolerance approach to corruption and match fixing, recognising that good discipline has to implemented to ensure fairness and credibility in the sport.

The latest decision serves as another reminder of the ICC’s continued efforts to combat corruption in cricket and ensure transparency across all levels of the sport.
