In light of the recent cancellation of two Pakistan Super League matches, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has outlined a clear refund process for ticket holders. This move comes after the matches in Rawalpindi were completely washed out last Saturday.
PSL Ticket Refund Process for Different Purchase Methods
- Express Centres Purchases: Starting from Tuesday, 12 March, refunds can be claimed at designated centres. The details of these centres will be updated on the official websites soon. Buyers need to present the original CNICs used for the purchase along with the physical tickets.
- Online Purchases: The refund process will begin on Tuesday, 12 March. The refunded amount will be directly credited to the buyers’ bank accounts linked at the time of purchase.
- Corporate Purchases: Refunds for tickets bought through corporate transactions will be made only to the corporate entity. Individual refund requests will not be entertained to avoid duplication in the credited amount.
PSL Ticket Refund Policy
According to Clause 2.1 of the Ticket Refund Policy, PCB will provide a full refund of the ticket price for the cancelled matches. The clause states that if a match is cancelled due to any reason, including adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, prior to the toss, ticket holders will be eligible for a full refund.
As per Clause 3.3 of the policy, refunds will be processed within 10 business days of receiving a valid request. This transparent process ensures that fans are not left at a disadvantage due to uncontrollable circumstances.
