Israel has banned Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem over security fears from Iran attacks. Brigadier General Hisham Ibrahim closed all Old City holy sites, including the Western Wall and Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Sheikh Ekrima Sabri condemned the move as unjustified. This escalates Israel-Iran conflict tensions.
Israel just imposed a ban on Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque. This comes from the rising Israel-Iran conflict. The decision hits occupied Jerusalem hard.
Brigadier General Hisham Ibrahim heads the Israeli Civil Administration. He announced the closure through the army’s Al-Munasiq platform. Security concerns drive this. Iran launched retaliatory attacks against Israel. These strikes affect the region.
All holy sites in Jerusalem’s Old City stay closed on Friday. Al-Aqsa Mosque faces the ban. The Western Wall shuts down too. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre joins the list. Worshippers from any religion cannot enter. Visitors get barred as well.
Sheikh Ekrima Sabri serves as the senior Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque. He condemned the action strongly. Israeli authorities seize every chance to close Al-Aqsa Mosque. He called it completely unjustified.
