Saudi Arabia Announces Important Guidelines for Pakistani Citizens

ISLAMABAD: The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment in Pakistan has issued a set of guidelines for Pakistanis living and working in Saudi Arabia, aimed at helping them avoid difficulties during their stay.

According to the guidelines, Pakistani citizens should not hand over their passports to any employer or sponsor. A passport is an important personal travel document, and citizens are advised to keep it safely in their possession. If a passport is confiscated, Pakistanis are advised to contact the Pakistani Embassy or Consulate.

Authorities have also advised citizens not to stay in Saudi Arabia after their visa or residence permit (Iqama) expires. Similarly, working for another individual or organization without the sponsor’s permission can lead to legal complications.

Pakistanis have been urged to remain cautious of illegal agents and middlemen and not attempt to enter another country through unauthorized means. They have also been advised to completely avoid harassing women, engaging in inappropriate behavior, or committing any form of misconduct.
