New Fuel Pricing System

The adjustment follows movements in international oil prices under the revised fuel-pricing framework approved by the federal cabinet.

Under the framework, OGRA will publish updated fuel prices on its website every day. The system aims to improve transparency and allow consumers to benefit faster from changes in global oil markets.

Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik said last Friday that the revised mechanism uses a rolling seven-day average of international petroleum prices. The system brings Pakistan’s fuel-pricing process closer to international practices.
