The adjustment follows changes in international oil prices. The new rates reflect Pakistan’s revised fuel pricing system. OGRA has also started publishing daily international petroleum price data.

New Fuel Pricing System

The government has introduced a seven-day rolling average for petroleum prices. The system links domestic fuel prices more closely with movements in global markets.

Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik said the mechanism aims to align Pakistan’s fuel pricing with global practices. The Petroleum Division has also briefed stakeholders on the new seven-day rolling average system.

The latest change gives consumers a small reduction in both major transport fuels. Petrol falls by 14 paisas per liter. HSD falls by Rs1.89 per liter.
