Hajj 2026: Final Day of Rami Marks End of Pilgrimage in Mina

The final day of the Hajj pilgrimage has arrived, with millions of pilgrims completing the last major ritual of Rami (stoning of the Jamarat) as the Days of Tashreeq come to an end.

On the second day of Tashreeq, the pilgrim symbolically stoned the three Jamarat from early morning. The ritual is to reject evil and is one of the major rituals during the pilgrimage of the Hajj.

By authorities, Mina will be fully emptied before sunset, when the pilgrims are set to return to Mekkah and Madinah after having performed the rituals. Pilgrims are currently spending the rest of their time in Mina in tents and designated accommodations ahead of their departure.

This year over 1.7 million Muslims from all over the world made the blessed journey of Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam. The pilgrims are already making their way back, and the return journey will commence from tomorrow.

The repatriation will officially commence from May 31st when groups of Pakistani pilgrims will begin to return home from their spiritual journey.

The Hajj pilgrimage is considered the largest annual religious gathering in the world, bringing together Muslims of all nationalities in Makkah to perform unified rituals of faith, devotion, and sacrifice.
