The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation has launched the 15-day ‘Salam Karachi Festival,’ featuring cultural showcases, sports events and musical performances across the city.
Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab officially announced the commencement of the festival, which runs through September 7. It celebrates local culture, community spirit, and national defense.
The multi day program brings a diverse mix of family entertainment, food exhibitions, and public rallies to multiple locations across the metropolis.

The festival features a packed calendar designed for citizens of all ages, with several key highlights scheduled throughout the fortnight:

| August 27 | Safari Park organizes a family festival, talent hunt program, and a musical night with free public entry. |
| August 28 | A major cycle rally and surrounding activities stretch from Sea View to Do Darya. |
| September 4 | Safari Park hosts a dedicated kids and family musical festival. |
| September 5 | Safari Park hosts a major roadshow and musical performance along Shahrah-e-Faisal. |
| September 7 | The grand closing ceremony marks the conclusion of the festival, featuring an awards presentation and special musical show for municipal staff. |
