The authorities have urged citizens to take preventive measures, particularly in the afternoon peak period. Individuals are advised to stay out of the sun, to drink plenty of fluids, wear light-colored clothing and to stay out of the sun as much as possible.
The health authorities have also warned that the continuous exposure to the high temperatures can cause dehydration, heat exhaustion and other heat-related illnesses, especially in children, elderly and outside workers.
The heatwave conditions are expected to persist throughout the Eid holidays, making it important for citizens to remain alert and follow weather updates regularly.
