Free Entry Announced to Lahore Safari Park on Eid al-Fitr 2024

In a move to celebrate Eid ul Fitr 2024, Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, has announced free entry to Lahore Safari Zoo. This initiative, revealed by Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, is not just a one-day affair. Post-Eid, the zoo will continue to welcome visitors aged 60 and above without any charges.

During the inauguration of Lion Safari, the minister took a tour of the park’s various sections, including the salt range and deer & bird safaris, aboard an e-safari cart. She shared a comprehensive three-month plan for significant improvements aimed at enhancing the visitor experience.

Key upgrades include the establishment of a veterinary complex and bird hatcheries, installation of information boards, systematisation of electric carts, and setting speed limit boards on pathways. Additionally, the environment will be made dust-free for visitors through the construction of water ponds, fountains, and artificial moulds.

To ensure the well-being of the animals, two additional veterinary doctors will be hired immediately. Moreover, separate veterinarians will be assigned to different animals. The minister also emphasized the need for staff accommodations and regular medical treatment for the animals.

In line with modern trends, the government is developing a safari park application and introducing an international bidding system. These advancements aim to make Lahore Safari Zoo a world-class destination, offering memorable experiences for all visitors.
