Government Appoints Raisa Adil as Principal Information Officer at Press Information Department

Islamabad, July 9, 2026: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued a notification announcing the transfer and new posting of senior Information Group officer Ms. Raisa Adil.

According to the official notification dated July 9, 2026, Ms. Raisa Adil, a BS-20 officer of the Information Group, has been transferred from her current position as Executive Director General, External Publicity Wing, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

She has now been appointed as Executive Director General/Principal Information Officer (PIO), Press Information Department (PID), Islamabad, with immediate effect. The notification states that she will serve in the new role in her own pay and scale until further orders are issued.

The transfer notification, issued under No. 512/IG, has been signed by Sana Saif, Section Officer (Information Group) and will be published in the next issue of the Gazette of Pakistan Part-I.

Copies of the notification have been circulated to the relevant government offices, including the President’s Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Office, Cabinet Division, Establishment Division, AGPR, and other concerned departments for implementation.

The appointment places Ms. Raisa Adil at the helm of the Press Information Department, which serves as the federal government’s principal agency for disseminating official information and coordinating communication with the media.
