Lahore: Foreign Woman’s Statement in Alleged Assault Case Emerges

The recorded statement of a 22-year-old Azerbaijani woman in an alleged assault case in the Defense area of Lahore has emerged. She recorded her statement before a judicial magistrate under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

According to the court order, the woman recorded her statement on a mobile phone. The recording was later transferred to a USB device.

The woman identified herself as 22-year-old Diana and said she travelled from Istanbul to Islamabad on the 13th. She then went to Faisalabad, where she stayed for five days.

Diana said she later travelled to Lahore and planned to visit Skardu. She could not continue the journey alone, so she contacted two women, Nimra and Muskan, to meet them.

According to her statement, Diana went alone to a cafe at around 11pm. She met Muskan there. Muskan told her that Nimra was waiting nearby and took her to meet her.

Diana said they went to Nimra’s place for dinner. Two men, identified as Mohsin and Ahmed, later arrived in a car. She said Nimra invited them to join them for food.

The group then went to an apartment. Diana said two more men arrived there. She identified one as Ali Aziz but other man’s name remains unknown.

Woman Describes Events at Apartment

Diana said Nimra took between Rs 20,000 and Rs 30,000 from Mohsin and offered the money to her. She said she refused to accept it.

She alleged that Mohsin then took her to another room. Three other men were present there. When she asked about Nimra and Muskan, she said the men told her that the two women had left.

Diana said she asked to leave but was told that she could not go because her friend had taken money. Ali Aziz also blackmailed her about calling the police.

She said the men later pressured her to stay and drink alcohol. According to her statement, the men told her that she could leave after drinking. She said she later asked to leave again but was told to sleep there until she becomes sober.

Diana alleged that Mohsin, Ahmed and Ali Aziz then assaulted her.

She said the men later took her in a car. She alleged that she had Rs 200,000 and an iPhone with her at the time.

Diana said the men told her they would return her belongings if she did not report the matter to police. She alleged that they later opened the car door and forced her out.

She said she was left without her belongings and sought help from people nearby. She then contacted the police.

The allegations form part of the statement recorded under Section 164. The case remains subject to the ongoing legal process.
