The Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro has officially confirmed a district-wide holiday for the 774th Annual Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA). This 7 February 2026 holiday allows devotees to participate in the spiritual festivities while ensuring strict administrative control. A formal Lal Shahbaz Qalandar holiday 2026 notification has been distributed to all government departments, effective immediately.
The District Administration of Jamshoro has formally announced the Lal Shahbaz Qalandar holiday 2026 for Saturday. This local holiday coincides with the Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Urs date 2026, which marks the 18th of Sha’ban 1447 AH.

As per the official Lal Shahbaz Qalandar holiday 2026 notification, all the government offices and educational institutions will continue to be closed within the limits of Jamshoro district. The order was signed by Deputy Commissioner Ghazanfar Ali Qadri to serve the thousands of pilgrims coming to attend the 774th anniversary celebrations.
The 7 February 2026 holiday has two purposes: to celebrate the Sufi saint and cope with the enormous number of tourists. The security forces have already been patrolling the shrine to ensure that there is order during the mehfil-e-zikr and the traditional activities.
Although this particular 7 Feb holiday in Sindh is localized (at Jamshoro) it comes after the national Kashmir Day break making it a long weekend to many.
