Metro Bus Service to Be Suspended in Rawalpindi During Cricket Team Movements

Metro Bus service between Saddar and Pak Secretariat will be suspended during cricket team movements linked to the tri-nation ODI series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Three stations will also remain closed during matches until October 13.
The decision applies to the Metro Bus route connecting the twin cities, according to Metro Bus sources. The suspension will take place when teams travel to and from the stadium.
The district administration directed authorities to suspend the service during the team movements.
Three Metro Bus Stations to Remain Closed
The Khatm-e-Nabuwwat, IJP and Sixth Road Metro Bus stations will remain closed during cricket matches.
The tri-nation ODI series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will continue until October 13. The participating teams include Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
Traffic Diversions Planned for Team Movement
The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has also issued a traffic advisory for Sunday due to the Sri Lankan cricket team’s movement.
Traffic diversions will operate at different points along Srinagar Highway. Traffic may move slowly for short periods while the team travels through the area.
Commuters have been advised to use alternative routes during the movement and follow instructions from traffic police personnel.
