Public Holiday on 22 July Declared for Bahauddin Zakariya Urs 2026

The 22 July holiday on Bahauddin Zakariya Urs 2026 has been officially announced by the Multan district administration. The local holiday will allow thousands of devotees to participate in the religious celebrations of the 787th annual Urs of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya (RA).

Deputy Commissioner Multan Dr Faisal Saleem announced in an official notification that all government offices, public institutions, district offices in Multan have been closed on Wednesday 22 July 2026.

The administration announced the holiday to allow the pilgrims to visit the shrine of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya (RA) during the annual Urs. Many pilgrims from all over Pakistan come to Multan to offer prayers and participate in various religious activities.

The 22nd July holiday on Bahauddin Zakariya Urs 2026 is limited to Multan district only. Essential services will continue as necessary and government departments and district offices will be closed for the day.

One of the most important religious events in the region of Hazara, in southern Punjab, is the annual Urs of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya (RA). The celebrations are held every year with Quran recitations, religious events, special prayers, and ceremonies attended by scholars, believers, and tourists from various regions of the country.

District offices in Multan will resume their official working after local holiday on 22 July, hence the residents are requested to complete their official work before or after that date.
