The Punjab government has officially launched the second phase of the Chief Minister’s Climate Leadership Internship Programme 2026, offering young graduates an opportunity to gain valuable professional experience in environmental governance while earning a monthly stipend of Rs60,000.
The Punjab Environment Protection and Climate Change Department has launched an online recruitment drive for the 3 months paid internship programme to groom the next generation of climate leaders and environmental professionals in Pakistan.
Punjab Climate Leadership Internship 2026 Offers Rs60,000 Monthly Stipend
The selected interns will get a stipend of Rs60,000 per month for three months under the Climate Leadership Internship Programme of the Chief Minister.
The programme aims to give hands-on experience on environmental policy, climate governance, and sustainability programmes, empowering them with the tools necessary to address the challenges of climate change.
The purpose of the scheme is to build a cadre of future ‘Climate Warriors’ who can help in protecting the environment and enhancing climate resilience at the national and provincial level in Punjab, officials said.
What Will Interns Learn?
Successful applicants will receive hands-on experience through:
- Field assignments
- Visits to Environment Protection Agency (EPA) offices
- Capstone projects
- Professional mentorship from environmental experts
- Practical training in environmental governance and policy implementation
Eligibility Criteria for Punjab Climate Internship 2026
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Age between 20 and 27 years
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree
- At least 75% marks or 3.0 CGPA out of 4.0
- Graduates from a wide range of academic disciplines are eligible to apply
To promote women’s participation in the environmental sector, 50% of internship seats have been reserved for female candidates.

Interested candidates can submit their online applications through the official Punjab Environment Protection Agency (EPA) portal.

Candidates are encouraged to apply before the closing date to avoid last-minute technical issues.
